Hackathon 2.0


On November 23, 2018, coding teams from BlueCrest University College engaged in a battle of brains to make campus life more manageable for students in ‘Hackathon 2.0’, a competition for the students of the BlueCrest School of Information and Technology to develop digital solutions to real-life IT problems.

The participants were students from level 100 to 300 who had organized themselves into three teams. Their challenge was to develop solutions for student information access portal in the college. 

Additionally, as a not-for-profit gesture, the teams had to develop a useful web application to automate the process for Student Loan Trust Fund application. The winning team named Dark Hats was awarded Gh₵2000 from the college. 
It is the first time that such a competition took place in the BlueCrest college, Ghana.
